Transportation
Now, how do you get to these fine Seattle attractions?

Seattle has public transportation in the form of an extensive bus network called Metro.  Metrokc.gov Cost for riders: youth $.50 adults $1.25 ($1.50 peak hours).

The Gathering is also providing transportation by using school busses, which will run all day long.  We are using a color system to identify bus routes (orange, blue, green).  This transportation will take to you and from Seattle Pacific University to Seattle Center and from Seattle Center to two other downtown locations.  The routes will return you to Seattle Pacific University.  Other transportation provided by the Gathering will take groups to Wild Waves and Snoqualmie Falls.

Orange Route- This route will run back and forth between Seattle Pacific University and Seattle Center every 30 minutes.  You will find a number of great things to do at Seattle Center like checking out the world famous Space Needle, visiting the EMP Experience Music Project, grabbing a lunch or relaxing at international fountain.  From Seattle Center you can catch the Monorail ($3) to downtown and shopping or you can catch a ride to other Seattle areas.

Blue Route- This route will run back and forth between Seattle Center and the Seattle Waterfront every thirty minutes.  At the waterfront you can enjoy visiting the animals at the Seattle Aquarium, catching an Argosy cruise in Elliot Bay or eating some great northwest cuisine.  This is also the best route to visit the Pike Place Market.

Green Route- This route will run back and forth between Seattle Center and Pioneer Square every thirty minutes.  Around Pioneer Square you should consider joining the Seattle Underground Tour, visiting the Mariner or Seahawk team store, browsing through the art galleries and trendy bookstores.

Wild Waves Route- This route will be taking groups to Wild Waves theme park, which is located in Federal Way, WA, which is 45 minutes south of Seattle.  You will need to purchase Wild Wave tickets in advance. http://www.sixflags.com/parks/enchantedvillage/   This transportation provided by the gathering will leave from Seattle Pacific University at 1:00 pm.  You group will arrive at approximately 2 pm and the bus will leave from Wild Waves at 6:00 pm and your group will arrive back at Seattle Pacific University at 7:00 pm.  Please notify Shawn Bergstrom at bergie57@earthlink.net if you plan to utilize this Wild Waves transportation.  You may also sign up for this transportation as you register.

Snoqualmie Falls Route- This route will be taking groups to Snoqualmie Falls, the Tiger Mountain hike or the Rattlesnake Ridge hike, all likes east of Seattle in the Cascade Mountain foothills about 45 minutes.  This transportation provided by the gathering will leave from Seattle Pacific University at 1:00 pm.  Groups will return from Snoqualmie Falls at 5 pm.  Groups looking at the hikes will be able to negotiate departure times.  Please notify Shawn Bergstrom at bergie57@earthlink.net if you plan to utilize this Snoqualmie Falls Route.  You may also sign up for this transportation as you register.
